Hot Water Cylinder Replacement

We professionally replace both vented (gravity-fed) and unvented (pressurised) hot water cylinders to restore reliable hot water in your home. All work is carried out with care, in line with current regulations, and with clear, fixed pricing.

Cylinder Replacement Options:

Vented Cylinder Replacement

from £450 (labour only)

Includes:

  • Full system drain-down

  • Removal of existing vented cylinder

  • Installation of new copper or stainless steel cylinder (using existing pipework)

  • Refill and leak testing

  • Protection of all surfaces and carpets

Optional Extras:

  • Gate valve/float valve replacement: from £40

  • Isolation valves or flexible hoses: quoted as needed

  • Inhibitor dosing (if part of heating system): £10

  • Cylinder supply: from £180–£280 depending on size and insulation

Applies to straightforward like-for-like installations with sound pipework and good access. Additional pipework alterations quoted separately.

Unvented Cylinder Replacement

from £600 (labour only)

Includes:

  • Safe removal of existing unvented cylinder

  • Installation of new pressurised cylinder (pre-plumbed or standard unit)

  • Reconnection of pipework and safety controls

  • Testing and recommissioning in line with G3 Building Regulations

  • Benchmark documentation and system certification

  • Surface and carpet protection throughout

Optional Extras:

  • Discharge pipe upgrades or tundish replacement: quoted if required

  • Pressure-reducing valve or expansion vessel replacement (if faulty): quoted separately

  • Supply of new cylinder: from £400–£700+ (based on size and brand)

Must be installed by a G3 qualified engineer. All safety and discharge arrangements must comply with current standards.
